Back to basics.

A real lifesaver to all of us in times where our parents commit the ulimate crime of not having food at home is the one and only MAGGI. Good ol' reliable maggi. I was starving today and was at my wit's end when I saw these two packets of maggi GORENG staring at me. Now, as every hungry dude and dudette would do, I cooked it!(proudness!). It is neither difficult nor messy! The best part is that it only takes up two minutes! Well after that, it was a total high. You know what they say about the best food is home cooked. Damnn right, especially when you are making it yourself! I've never felt so satisfied in my whole entire..day!*laughs*

Anyway, for those who do not know how to cook a wicked plate of maggi, please read as follows:

1) Pour water into a pot(up until the maggi can be totally submerged in it) and heat it up over a gentle flame, for about 4-5 minutes.

2) Wait for two minutes for it to soften up, then stir the noodles for about 10 seconds.

3) Let it dry in a sieve for 5 minutes
- You don't want it to get too wet because it will have a soggy taste. Eww.

4) Mix the maggi ingredients on your plate.

5) Pour your noodles on the plate and mix until all the noodles are black.
- A duration of 3 minutes would be good so that it won't be too salty or too bland.

And voila! You then have your delicious plate of maggi GORENG!

A little something something should be added to make it a truly extraordinary meal :

Scrambled eggs or
Prawns- to have a local taste or
Chilli Padi- to sweeten and spice up the noodles.

You know what they say, once you go maggi; you won't go back.*laughs*

ENJOY!

Cheers,
Budi
